#SchoolStories: More Important Than Ever!
The #FutureSchool is well and truly here. Make sure you don’t get left behind in the move over to #RemoteLearning. Remote teaching & learning from home should by no means signify the end of #SchoolStories! The show must go on(line), get it?!
With the majority of schools closed, spreading positive messages from your school on social media is more important than ever. Here are some of our top tips to keep your #SchoolStories flowing:
Creativity:
Come up with a creative video and get your staff and students involved. Check out this great example from the British School in The Netherlands
Communication:
Using video-calling software to deliver your classes/meetings? Take a fun screenshot of your online learning experience with students at home. Take it up a level by getting the most students/staff members in one call as possible!

Learning:
It doesn’t all have to be happy, smiley children. Showcase the learning activities & completed exercises without the need for faces.
We have been blown away with the creativity amongst our #JESSCommunity these past few weeks. One of our JESS mums shared with us a very clever & easy way to make a fun projector playing with light & shadows. All you need is a baking sheet, cardboard box, scissors, tape & a phone. pic.twitter.com/q3w4rl2GyO

Content:
Still on the school site? Now is a great time to take photos of your beautiful facilities without any need to wait for passing students. An hour of photos could have you sorted on Instagram for the next few weeks! Not on the school site? Use this time to throwback to sunny days of years gone by. ☀️
♂️ Co-curricular:
It’s not all work, work, work. Share stories of activities that students are taking part in remotely. We’ve seen loads of great initiatives for students to get involved in:
PE WITH JOE starting Monday morning at 9am on my YOUTUBE channel: The Body Coach TV Please please share this with as many people as you can ❤️ Our kids need this more than ever. Share it on your stories, your wall, your Twitter, whatsapp and school newsletters ❤️ pic.twitter.com/ioFGeFRpuK

Engagement:
Jump on trends such as #MondayMotivation & #TBT to gain extra engagement. Check out our full list. Even create your own #RemoteLearning tips!
Our final #RemoteLearning tip of the day is to stay #connected. Take time to make a call during your break. The wonders of Meets, Hangouts, Whatsapp and Skype allow for all our friendships to function online. Take time to #talk, not just ‘like’.

✅ Positivity:
Show a personal side to your department by posting (or even creating) your own GIFs to help keep morale high at this time of negativity in news.
Parent Comms:
Share a link with your parent community to your @intSchools media wall filtered to the relevant departments using your school hashtags. Here is a great example of #VirtualMoulsford from Moulsford Prep School.
Here are some stories from our #InspiringSchools that we have seen in March & April!

As part of their #AshfordSchOnline French lessons, Year 4 were tasked with designing their own town map.
